The screen flashes

At a random moment the screen goes white. Your clock and Solana's clock start on the same frame.

Solana makes a new block

The first block that appears after the flash is Solana's runner. It didn't exist when the race started.

First to finish wins

You finish when you tap. Solana finishes when that block is finalized. The block number is on your result, so anyone can check it.
